The International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
In 2012, the United Nations General Assembly designated 6 February as the International Day of Zero Tolerance for FGM. This day is observed to enhance awareness of the issue and to encourage concrete actions against the practice.
