World Water Day
This year on World Water Day the UN focusses on the 2013 declared
"International Year of Water Cooperation"
The Year is lead by UNESCO because of the Organization's unique multidisciplinary approach, which blends the natural and social sciences, education, culture and communication.

International Women's Day
The theme of this year's observance is "A promise is a promise: Time for action to end violence against women." The purpose of the theme is to promote ongoing efforts at the national level and globally to end violence against women, share experiences and innovations in delivering on commitments to women and girls, and support efforts and strategies, particularly at the national level to increase investments focused on gender equality and women's empowerment.
