Y-PEER Oman has been buzzing with all the recent activities and getting a lot of recent media attention. The Week, a free Omani newspaper featured them in this week's issue.

For many young people, finding a way to make their voice heard is one of the hardest things to do. However for those living in the sultanate there is a group of people, aged between 15 and 30 years old, known as the Y-Peers, who not only helps others, but also develop themselves in the process. Helping to spread awareness about a number of issues, including HIV/AIDS and road safety, the Y-Peers, which is part of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), are volunteers that aim to help others by educating themselves.
