UNFPA Oman and the National Committee of Narcotics & Psychotropic Affairs has agreed on letter of understanding between the two heads of entities to provide workshops for aftercare treatment for narcotics and psychotropic abuses , where recovering narcotics still require some type of constant support for an extended length of time and this phase or recovery, known as aftercare, generally require involvement in some type of aftercare program, which has been shown to make a huge difference between the narcotics abstaining from his/her addiction.
The main component of the agreement is: offering training workshops for establishing a national program for aftercare treatment and rehabilitation for narcotics and psychotropic abuses.
The workshop will take place in the coming three months.
