UNFPA and UNICEF jointly lead the largest global programme to accelerate the abandonment of female genital mutilation. The UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Programme on FGM/C: Accelerating Change brings the complementary expertise of the two agencies - often in partnership with grass-roots community organizations -- together with the latest social science research.

Launching the State of the World Population Report 2014
Young people matter. They matter because an unprecedented 1.8 billion youth are alive today, and because they are the shapers and leaders of our global future. They matter because they have inherent human rights that must be fulfilled. Yet, in a world of adult concerns, young people are often overlooked.
